Our Town Ambassadors work during April to October each year and do a fantastic job of meeting and greeting both visitors and locals alike.
What is a Town Ambassador I hear you ask! Town Ambassadors are carefully selected to provide a street-based service to the people in Oban. Our Ambassadors provide a positive and cheerful welcome to visitors to the town. They work as mobile tourist information hubs, providing visitors with information about the town itself, the local businesses and the attractions in and around Oban.
Our Ambassadors are fully trained by BID4Oban and some of the local businesses/organisations in town. They work hard to present a positive image of Oban to visitors arriving from trains, cruise ships, ferries and buses. They have extensive knowledge of all of the local businesses from retail to hospitality to attractions and are always on hand to help you fill your day with the exciting opportunties Oban has to offer.
They provide physical literature which is available to all on the things to do in town and they have BID4Oban's What's On Oban guide readily available which has all of the upcoming events in and around town on a fortnightly basis.
All of our Ambassadors have a passion for Oban. They are lively and positive people who have a high degree of motivation and customer service skills. They will always go that extra mile to help!
